Toby was rescued just 1/31/18 from a local pound (our 4th rescue from a 4th pound) in just two weeks! His post was so sad of his very sad eyes (a couple of pics and a collage of pics shown) and his description of his being so timid, we had to do something! Video (only shown on “Adopt-a-Pet” website) is his "freedom" day at foster home when outside - WHAT a different dog - actually got excited over his getting a bath!
Toby is so sweet and loving and cuddled his first night in a home and not at the cold, stressful pound! Toby was a bit anxious the first couple days when not in his foster mom's presence - separation anxiety or just the remnants of a stressful time at the pound - but has really gotten better since been shown love and is in a home w/his favorite humans and 3 doggy friends! Toby is like part of the family AND good w/her dogs and her cat and the humans - just a really GREAT dog that loves being loved and cared for!
Toby was "vetted" 2/1/18 and, THANKFULLY, is heartworm AND fecal negative! He has been neutered and microchipped! We think Toby should have someone who is home more often than not to give him the love, nurturing, and confidence he needs although he has markedly improved from the initial day he arrived at a home from the "scary" pound!!
